The President of Uzbekistan became an honorary doctor and professor at a leading university in Pakistan
As part of the first meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Council, a ceremony was held to confer upon the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev the honorary titles of doctor and professor of the National University of Science and Technology Pakistan.
The corresponding certificate was presented to the head of our state by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
The titles were awarded for the outstanding contribution of the leader of Uzbekistan to socio-economic and educational reforms, sustainable modernization of the country, development of science and technology, as well as strengthening international cooperation and academic ties.
During the ceremony, Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the leadership and academic community of the university for conferring high titles, noted the importance of further strengthening educational ties and mutual training of highly qualified specialists.
Founded in 1991, the National University of Science and Technology combines research and innovation activities, training of masters and doctoral students, as well as the promotion of applied research focused on the needs of industry and economy.
