On April 7, as part of the program of the 150th anniversary Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the delegation of the Grand National Assembly Republic of Turkey led by its Chairman Numan Kurtulmuş.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Turkish Parliament conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the head of our state.

The current highest level of bilateral cooperation was noted with deep satisfaction. Indicators of mutual trade turnover and investment are growing, the number of successful joint projects and enterprises, and the frequency of direct flights are increasing. Important cultural events are being held aimed at bringing the two states and peoples closer together.
Particular attention is paid to the further development of inter-parliamentary relations, the active participation of friendship groups in the formation of a new agenda for the Uzbek-Turkish partnership, intensifying interregional interaction, as well as ensuring control over the implementation of agreements at the highest level.
