The President of Uzbekistan reviewed plans to expand investment cooperation with the UAE
On the sidelines of the regular meeting of the Council of Foreign Investors, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the delegation of the United Arab Emirates led by the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suheil al-Mazroui.
The meeting was also attended by the heads of Amea Power, Etihad Water & Electricity, TAQA Waters Solutions, AD Ports and Masdar.
At the beginning of the meeting, the minister conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes to the head of our state from the President of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed Al Nahyan, the Prime Minister, the Emir of Dubai Sheikh Muhammad Al Maktoum, Vice President Sheikh Mansour Al Nahyan and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khalid Al Nahyan.
The issues of practical implementation of the agreements reached following the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the UAE in January this year were considered.
Noted with deep satisfaction dynamic development of the Uzbek-UAE strategic partnership. The volume of trade turnover and investment, the number of joint ventures, and the frequency of direct flights are growing.
The portfolio of projects with leading Emirati companies has exceeded $20 billion. As part of the fourth Tashkent Investment Forum, a number of new agreements were signed with Emirati companies.
An agreement was reached to accelerate the promotion of major projects in the fields of energy, transport, logistics, agriculture, healthcare, education, urban planning, water supply and other areas.
