The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the heads of leading Chinese companies China State Construction, China General Nuclear Power, CAMCE, Goldwind and ZTO Express.
The head of our state noted with satisfaction the traditionally high interest of Chinese business in Uzbekistan. Last year alone, the volume of investments from this country exceeded $10 billion.
In a conversation with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of China State Construction, Zheng Xuexuan, the results of cooperation in the field of modernizing the road infrastructure of Tashkent were highly appreciated. Long-term plans for the creation of cultural objects in Tashkent were discussed.
An agreement was reached on the launch of a project to create an industrial zone in the Tashkent region, as well as the company’s participation in highway construction projects.
The focus of negotiations with the Chairman of China General Nuclear Power Corporation, Yang Changli, was on strengthening partnerships in the mining industry. Interest was expressed in accelerating geological exploration and development of new deposits. The company's plans for the construction of a hybrid solar power plant and the introduction of customs cargo scanning technologies were supported.
The results of joint work on the construction of the Olympic village in the capital were summed up with the Chairman of the CAMCE Corporation, Wang Bo. The intensive development of the industrial technology park "Yangi Avlod" in the city of Tashkent under the management of the company was noted.
Particular attention was paid to expanding the portfolio of joint initiatives, in particular accelerating projects in the field of electricity and infrastructure development of New Tashkent.
An exchange of views took place with Goldwind Chairman Wu Gang on the company’s participation in the development of “green” energy. In Uzbekistan, together with the company, the production of components for wind power plants has already been established.
An agreement has been reached on further localization of the production of wind generators and the activation of current projects.
The head of the ZTO Express company, Hu Xiangliang, informed the head of our state about his intentions to launch an online platform to facilitate customs clearance of goods and the creation of “smart” logistics warehouses in Uzbekistan.
