The President of Uzbekistan met with the Minister of Economy, Industry and Trade of Japan
The head of our state noted with satisfaction the dynamic growth of Japanese direct investment in the economy of Uzbekistan. In recent years, the number of joint ventures has increased 10-fold, and the total portfolio of ongoing projects has exceeded $20 billion.
Particular attention is paid to strengthening trade and investment ties, as well as deepening industrial cooperation in areas such as alternative energy, decarbonization, critical raw materials and many others.
The importance of creating an intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation at the ministerial level to promote joint programs and projects.
An agreement was reached to develop a program of activities to further strengthen business ties with the active participation of the Japan External Trade Development Organization (JETRO) and the Association for Trade with the CIS Countries (ROTOBO).
