The President of Uzbekistan welcomed plans to expand cooperation with the World Triathlon Union
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the head of the World Triathlon Union Antonio Fernandez Arimani, who is in our country as part of the World Cup in triathlon and paratriathlon in the city of Samarkand.
Issues of further expanding practical cooperation with this authoritative global sports organization in the field of popularizing this sport and supporting the national triathlon school in Uzbekistan were considered.
The active development of triathlon in our country was noted with satisfaction. There is a national federation, international competitions are regularly held, Uzbek athletes are strengthening their positions in the continental and world rankings.
Particular attention is paid to the further development of interaction and implementation of expert assistance programs in the field of training athletes, coaches, judges and sports managers, as well as the creation of modern infrastructure.
