The President of Uzbekistan took part in an informal meeting of the heads of state of the CIS
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in an informal meeting of the heads of state of the CIS at the State Hermitage in the city on December 22 St. Petersburg.
The event was attended by the Presidents of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
During the meeting, the main results of joint work this year were summed up and priority tasks for the coming year were outlined. An exchange of views on current issues of the regional and international agenda also took place.
The importance of further creating favorable conditions for increasing mutual trade turnover, deepening interaction in the field of transport, stimulating the growth of mutual investments and supporting cooperation projects, strengthening cooperation in the field of energy and digitalization, expanding joint projects in the field of science, education, culture and art, as well as developing long-term partnerships between regions were emphasized.
The need to preserve and develop cultural and humanitarian exchange between the Commonwealth countries was also noted, in particular to support the development of the creative, innovative and intellectual potential of youth.
