The President of Uzbekistan received the special envoy of the US President
As part of the anniversary events of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly on September 22, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received at his residence the Special Envoy of the US President for South and Central Asia Sergio Gore.
At the beginning of the meeting, Sergio Gore conveyed sincere greetings from US President Donald Trump.
Issues of further strengthening the Uzbek-American strategic partnership relations were discussed in the context of the implementation of the agreements reached during a telephone conversation between the leaders of the two countries on September 5 of this year.
The intensive political dialogue, exchanges of delegations at different levels, as well as the growing dynamics of business contacts were noted with satisfaction.
Many fruitful meetings and events with leading US companies have been held these days in New York City. A portfolio of contracts and promising projects worth over $100 billion has been generated, in particular in the field of civil aviation, mining, finance and innovation, chemical, energy and other priority areas.
The importance of using the capabilities of the US Exim Bank and the DFC Fund to support and promote new projects, establishing a joint Coordination Committee to accelerate their implementation was emphasized.
Special attention is paid to cooperation in the field of security, the fight against terrorism and illegal migration.
