The President of Uzbekistan received the heads of international sports organizations
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the head of the World Swimming Federation, Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia Hussein Al-Musallam and the first Vice President of the Association of National Olympic Committees Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani.
Current issues of further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in the sports field, supporting the Olympic movement and creating conditions for the development of professional and mass sports in our country were considered.
At the beginning of the meeting, Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani conveyed greetings to the leader of Uzbekistan and the best wishes of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The achieved high level of practical interaction with these international sports organizations was noted with satisfaction.
Particular attention was paid to strengthening the partnership with the World Swimming Federation, implementing programs for training specialists, as well as creating a modern and accessible infrastructure for aquatic sports in Uzbekistan sports.
The issues of holding major international competitions in our country, a meeting of the Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia and major events of the Association of Olympic Committees were also discussed.
