The President of Uzbekistan received the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received on June 10 the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov, who is in our country to participate in the Tashkent International investment forum.
At the beginning of the meeting, the distinguished guest conveyed sincere greetings and good wishes of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the leader of Uzbekistan.
Current issues of further expansion and strengthening of Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations of friendship, strategic partnership and alliance were considered.
The fruitful work being carried out jointly within the framework of the Year of Economic Cooperation was noted with satisfaction. Trade turnover volumes are growing, cooperation projects in various sectors of the economy are in the active phase, including with the support of a joint investment company. Active cultural and humanitarian exchange continues.
The importance of continuing close practical interaction between governments was emphasized in order to monitor the implementation of agreements and generate new initiatives for the upcoming summit at the highest level.
In this context, the need to ensure high productivity of the planned next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Forum of Regions of the two countries was emphasized.
