The President of Uzbekistan received the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Euronews Pedro Vargas
As part of the Tashkent Investment Forum program, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the media holding "Euronews" Pedro Vargas.
The issues of developing cooperation with this leading company were considered, including in the field of raising awareness of the wide Euronews audience about the rich cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan, the ongoing important political and economic processes in the country, as well as its investment and tourism potential.
The head of our state welcomed the active work on the implementation of joint information projects and training of professional personnel, as well as Euronews’ plans to open its office in the city of Tashkent.
Plans for training Uzbek journalists based on advanced professional standards under the Euronews Academy program were supported.
In order to organize systematic work in all promising areas, an agreement was reached on the preparation of a joint “road map.”
