The President of Uzbekistan received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received on November 21 the delegation of the People's Republic of China led by a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, the head of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission, Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who arrived in our country to participate in the next meeting of the strategic dialogue of the heads of the foreign ministries of the two countries.
Practical aspects of further deepening the Uzbek-Chinese relations of a comprehensive all-weather strategic partnership in the new era and expanding multifaceted cooperation in the context of the implementation of agreements at the highest level were considered.
At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the Chinese Foreign Ministry conveyed to the leader of our state sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping.
It was noted with particular satisfaction that thanks to the political will and joint efforts of the heads of state, bilateral relations have reached an unprecedented high level.
Last year, trade turnover reached $14 billion, the number of joint ventures is about 5 thousand, since the beginning of the year Almost $15 billion of Chinese investment has been disbursed. The portfolio of technology partnership projects has approached $90 billion.
Attention has been paid to promoting cooperation in the field of high technology, green and nuclear energy, artificial intelligence, transport, infrastructure, the agricultural sector, geology, chemistry and other areas.
Contacts at all levels have intensified, the regions of the two countries are effectively interacting, and meaningful work continues educational, cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
The leader of Uzbekistan noted the need for careful preparation for upcoming events at the highest level and filling bilateral cooperation with new practical content.
The importance of the active implementation of the project for the construction of the Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan-China railway and its connection with other transport routes was emphasized.
Particular attention is paid to coordination in matters of socio-economic reconstruction of Afghanistan and security. The need to continue close political dialogue and interaction in multilateral formats, support for inter-university cooperation, projects in the field of poverty alleviation, tourism development and others was noted.
Confidence was expressed in the successful holding of the Days of Chinese Culture in Uzbekistan at the end of November this year.
Views were also exchanged on issues of the international and regional agenda.
