The President of Uzbekistan received the US delegation
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the American delegation led by the Special Envoy of the President of the United States for South and Central Asia Sergio Gore.
First Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau and other officials also took part in the meeting from the American side.
Issues of further development of the Uzbek-American strategic partnership relations were considered in the context of the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level in New York City on September 23 of this year.
At the beginning of the meeting, Sergio Gore conveyed to the head of our state Sincere greetings and warm wishes from US President Donald Trump.
The intensive political dialogue, exchanges at different levels, and active business contacts were noted with satisfaction. The volume of trade turnover is growing; in early October, a mission from the US Chamber of Commerce was successfully visited.
The importance of promoting projects in the field of industry, finance, critical minerals, energy, digitalization, agriculture and other priority areas based on the adopted “road map” was emphasized.
The parties also discussed issues of strengthening partnerships in the field of security, combating terrorism and extremism, as well as illegal migration.
An exchange of views took place on current aspects of the global and regional agenda.
The schedule of upcoming events was also considered, including within the framework of the C5+1 summit, which will take place next week in Washington.
