During a telephone conversation on June 29, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev warmly congratulated the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his birthday, sincerely wishing him good health, family happiness and prosperity, peace and prosperity of fraternal Turkmenistan.
The head of our state emphasized the personal contribution of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the formation and sustainable development of modern Turkmenistan, increasing the international authority of the country, as well as strengthening Uzbek-Turkmen relations of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership.
The national leader of the Turkmen people conveyed the greetings of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the President of Uzbekistan.
The unprecedentedly high level of bilateral cooperation achieved in recent years, primarily thanks to regular meetings of the leaders of our countries, was noted with particular satisfaction.
Close and fruitful interdepartmental contacts are maintained, trade turnover and cargo transportation volumes are growing. Important cooperation projects are being implemented, including the completion of the construction of the Shavat-Dashoguz border trade zone. There is an active cultural and humanitarian exchange. The next meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission, the Interregional Forum and the Business Council is planned.
Current aspects of regional interaction were also considered, including preparations for the upcoming seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia in Tashkent in September this year.
