The President of Uzbekistan will pay a state visit to Pakistan
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the invitation of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif, will pay a state visit to this country on February 5-6.
In accordance with the program, negotiations will be held in the city of Islamabad with the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Forces - Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir, as well as the first meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Council.
The focus is on upcoming contacts at the highest level – issues of further deepening Uzbek-Pakistan relations of strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation.
Key aspects of strengthening political dialogue, intergovernmental, interparliamentary, business and interregional ties will be comprehensively considered.
The parties will pay special attention to increasing trade turnover, promoting cooperation projects in the field of industry, transport and infrastructure, tourism, continuation of cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
There will be an exchange of views on the current international and regional agenda.
As a result of the negotiations, the signing of a Joint Declaration and a solid package of agreements in priority areas is expected.
The President of Uzbekistan will also take part in a joint business forum representatives of leading business circles of the two countries.
