The President of Uzbekistan highlights the need to strengthen comprehensive cooperation with Kazakhstan

On March 31, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yermek Kosherbayev, who arrived in the country on an official visit.

The honored guest extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the President of Uzbekistan from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Current issues regarding the strengthening of friendship, strategic partnership, and alliance between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan were discussed.

The productive relations at the levels of parliaments, governments, regions, and businesses were acknowledged with satisfaction.

The joint Intergovernmental Commission is working effectively. Trade volume continues to increase steadily, and cooperation is expanding across industry, energy, transportation, environmental protection, and water management.

At the meeting, special emphasis was placed on accelerating economic projects, fostering cooperation in rare metals, boosting tourist arrivals, and expanding humanitarian exchange programs, including in the fields of space and the creative economy.

The importance of carefully preparing the agenda for upcoming bilateral and multilateral events was highlighted. Views were also exchanged on issues related to international and regional policy.
