The President of Uzbekistan got acquainted with the military-industrial potential of Pakistan
Upon arrival in the city of Islamabad, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the headquarters of the Global Industrial and Defense Solutions company, where he met with The Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Forces - Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, Field Marshal Asim Munir.
Key aspects of the further development of Uzbek-Pakistan multifaceted cooperation and strategic partnership were considered.
Particular attention was paid to expanding interaction in the military and military-technical spheres, as well as coordinating efforts countering modern challenges and security threats.
The importance of intensifying cooperative ties between leading enterprises of the defense-industrial complex of the two countries, expanding training programs for military specialists, exchanging experience and conducting joint training events was emphasized.
Issues of accelerating the implementation of promising infrastructure projects in the transport and logistics sector were separately discussed.
An agreement was reached on the preparation of a separate “road map” for the development of military and military-technical cooperation.
Following the meeting, the President of Uzbekistan got acquainted with the developments of the Global Industrial and Defense Solutions company, including samples of modern Pakistani military equipment and weapons.
