President Shavkat Mirziyoyev today got acquainted with proposals to improve the efficiency of work in the field of ecology and environmental protection.
In recent years, Our country is implementing large-scale initiatives to protect nature, improve air quality, increase green areas and adapt to climate change. However, the existing management system remains fragmented: responsibilities and powers are distributed between various departments, which reduces the effectiveness of the activities carried out.
In this regard, proposals for improving the management of the sphere were considered at the meeting.
It was proposed to concentrate the implementation and financing of environmental projects to improve the state of the environment and atmospheric air in cities, expand green areas, develop environmental culture and preserve natural heritage in unified management system. The importance of ensuring targeted and transparent use of resources was noted.
Plans to strengthen environmental control and expand the powers of relevant structures were presented. Mechanisms for prompt response to violations, prevention of illegal tree felling, air pollution, expansion of public participation in environmental supervision, as well as measures to improve environmental regulation in industry and ensure the preservation of green areas in populated areas were considered.
The President approved the proposals presented and gave instructions to finalize them in the context of further improving the quality and efficiency of management, strengthening control and responsibility in the field.
