The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation led by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation on June 23 Fadillah bin Yusuf.
A representative delegation of Malaysia is in our country on an official visit to conduct bilateral negotiations and participate in the events of the United Nations Civil Service Forum held in the city of Samarkand.
At the beginning of the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Fadillah bin Yusuf conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes to the head of our state Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
Issues of further expansion of Uzbek-Malaysian multifaceted relations were considered in the context of the practical implementation of the agreements of the high-level visit to Kuala Lumpur in February this year.
The intensification of contacts, visits and exchanges at different levels was noted with great satisfaction. Since the beginning of the year, trade turnover has increased by 25 percent. The number of joint ventures and the frequency of flights have increased. Tomorrow a business forum will be held with the participation of leading companies of the two countries.
The importance of unlocking the existing potential of economic cooperation and actively promoting cooperation projects in the field of trade, innovation, green energy, oil and gas and chemical industries, geology, water resources management, electronics and semiconductor industry, healthcare, personnel training, development of pilgrimage tourism and other priority areas was emphasized.
