The President of Uzbekistan noted the importance of expanding trade and economic cooperation with Oman
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Investment Promotion of the Sultanate of Oman Qais bin Muhammad al-Yusuf, who arrived to our country to participate in the Tashkent International Investment Forum.
At the beginning of the meeting, the distinguished guest conveyed sincere greetings to the head of our state from the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq Al Said.
Issues of expanding practical cooperation, primarily in the trade, economic and investment spheres, were considered.
Active contacts at different levels were noted with satisfaction. Within the framework of the forum, the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and meetings of the business community will be held.
The importance of promoting joint projects in the field of energy, geology, food, textile, chemical industry, transport and logistics, tourism, financial sector, including with the active support of the Uzbek-Oman Investment Company was emphasized.
