The President of Uzbekistan discussed the implementation of priority projects with Saudi Arabia
On October 15, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Minister of Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Khalid al-Falih, who arrived in our country on a visit at the head of a representative delegation of heads of leading Saudi companies.
At the beginning of the meeting, the distinguished guest conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes to the head of our state from the King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince, Prime Minister Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud.
Current issues of further development were discussed expansion of Uzbek-Saudi multifaceted cooperation and full-scale partnership in the context of the practical implementation of agreements at the highest level.
The dynamic development of fruitful interaction was noted with deep satisfaction. Contacts at all levels have intensified. The volume of mutual trade, direct investment and the number of joint ventures are growing. The frequency of flights between the two countries has increased.
The portfolio of joint projects has reached $27 billion. ACWA Power is implementing a number of major energy projects worth $15 billion.
The fruitful results of the regular meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Business Council, held the day before in the city of Tashkent, were highly appreciated, within the framework of which new agreements and contracts were signed.
Particular attention was paid to the speedy implementation of projects and initiatives in the field of “green” energy, agriculture, electrical engineering, real estate, infrastructure modernization in the regions of the country and other priority areas.
