The President of Uzbekistan discussed plans for the development of a strategic partnership with Air Products
The next item on the business program of the working visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to New York City was a meeting with the chief executive officer of Air Products, Eduardo Menezes
Air Products specializes in the production and supply of industrial gases. The company's market capitalization exceeds US$63 billion. It annually produces 200 million tons of industrial gases in more than 50 countries of the world and operates a network of about 750 production facilities.
Practical aspects of further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation with one of the leading international companies actively investing in the creation of high-tech industrial enterprises in Uzbekistan were considered.
Currently, the company's investments in our country have exceeded 1 billion dollars. Projects such as the processing of industrial gases at the GTL plant, the production of hydrogen at the Fergana Oil Refinery and liquid carbon dioxide at Navoiazot, and the creation of a blast freezing center have been implemented.
Agreements were reached to accelerate the implementation of projects for the construction of a gas chemical complex in Bukhara, coal gasification, and the production of environmentally friendly aviation fuel.
At the end of the meeting, the adoption of a “road map” for promoting cooperation projects was agreed upon.
