The President of Uzbekistan outlined the priorities of cooperation with American business
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on June 9, on the eve of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, held a meeting with a delegation of leading United States companies America.
The meeting was attended by US Assistant Secretary of State Eric Meyer, Chairman of the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce Carolyn Lamm, Vice President of the International Development Finance Corporation Brez Bethany, as well as heads of corporations Boeing, FLS, Visa, NASDAQ, Air Products, Franklin Templeton, Morgan Stanley, Coca-Cola and many others.
The head of our state noted with great satisfaction that the current meeting demonstrates the growing interest of American business in expanding their presence in Uzbekistan.
Particular attention was paid to the prospects for investment and innovation partnerships, promoting specific projects for the development and processing of critical materials, in the areas of artificial intelligence and digital technologies, modernization of transport and energy infrastructure, agriculture, tourism and others.
Heads of leading American companies, thanking the President of Uzbekistan for the favorable conditions created for the fruitful activities of investors, voiced their specific proposals and plans.
