The President of Uzbekistan was awarded the highest state award - the Order of Nishan-e-Pakistan
The highest award of Pakistan was solemnly presented to the head of our state by the President of this country, Asif Ali Zardari.
It was noted that this high award is a worthy recognition and assessment of joint efforts to expand multifaceted cooperation, as well as a manifestation of relations of friendship and deep respect for the people of Uzbekistan.
Confidence was expressed that the Uzbek-Pakistan strategic partnership will invariably be filled with new content.
It should be noted that this high award in different years was awarded to Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, US President Richard Nixon, President of South Africa Nelson Mandela, King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, President of the UAE Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Chinese President Hu Jintao, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Muhammad bin Salman and others.
