The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan received the Ambassador of France
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received on August 14 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic Aurelia Bouchez, who is completing her diplomatic mission in our country.
The head of our state especially noted the fruitful activities and personal contribution of the French Ambassador to the development and strengthening of strategic partnership relations between the two countries.
It was emphasized that the mutual visits at the highest level made it possible to bring Uzbek-French cooperation to a qualitatively new level, filling its agenda with specific content.
A systematic dialogue and active contacts at different levels have been established. Noticeable progress has been achieved in the trade and economic sphere: in recent years, trade turnover has increased 4 times, projects worth more than $10 billion are being implemented with leading companies and organizations in France.
Important programs in the fields of education, healthcare and cultural and humanitarian exchange are being implemented. Exhibitions at the Louvre and the Arab World Institute were a great success.
A monument to Beruni was unveiled in the suburbs of Paris. A street in the French capital is named after Samarkand. This year, the Uzbek-French University in the city of Tashkent will begin its work.
At the end of the meeting, for his great contribution to strengthening Uzbek-French relations of friendship and strategic partnership, the President of Uzbekistan awarded the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France Aurelia Bouchez the Order of "Dustlik".
Ambassador expressed deep gratitude to the leader of our country for the highest assessment of her diplomatic mission, and also sincerely thanked for all-out support for the development of full-scale cooperation between Uzbekistan and France.
