The President visited the new building of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev gets acquainted with the creative work on the territory of New Tashkent.
The head of our state began the trip with an introduction with the construction of underground parking and a pedestrian crossing.
The $100 million parking lot, which is being built on an area of 40 thousand square meters, will initially have the capacity to accommodate 200 cars and 30 motorcycles and scooters. For convenient and safe movement of pedestrians, a four-way crossing will be built.
Automated parking systems, bicycle rental points and electric vehicle charging stations will be organized here. Commissioning of the facility is scheduled for 2026.
The President gave instructions on increasing the number of modern car parks, ensuring their maximum accessibility and convenience for the population, as well as further developing the charging infrastructure taking into account the growing share of electric vehicles.
Administrative buildings are also being built in New Tashkent to organize the work of ministries and departments.
In particular, a new modular building of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services was built.
On a site of 1.4 hectares, 5 one-story buildings with a total area of 5751 square meters were built from light metal structures and sandwich panels with basalt coating.
The building allows you to place the central office of the ministry and all subordinate organizations in one place, which will increase the efficiency of interaction and work processes between institutions.
Lightweight structures and energy-efficient sandwich panels, an independent sewage system, as well as an effective centralized heating, cooling and ventilation system will reduce the operating costs of the building and provide the possibility of its expansion or dismantling in the future.
Currently, the new building employs 550 employees working in the central office of the ministry and subordinates organizations.
The Republican Center for the Development of Information and Communication Technologies under the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services is located in the same building.
To date, the center has launched a number of platforms based on the national information system “Shaffof Qurilish.”
The head of our state was reported on the activities of these platforms.
In particular, all socio-economic data regarding the territories of cities and districts are combined into a single digital database in the geographic information system “State Urban Cadastre of the Republic of Uzbekistan”. Using the geoportal, three-dimensional “digital twins” of settlements have been developed, reconstruction and renovation zones have been identified, and the possibility of conducting a comprehensive analysis of territories has been created.
The processes of development and public discussion of master plans, as well as the issuance of construction permits based on them, have been completely digitalized.
To date, digital master plans have been developed and posted on the geoportal 20 cities, 22 towns and 843 district settlements.
The electronic platform “Rating” has automated the assessment of the activities of construction and contracting organizations. The electronic platform “Tender” is integrated with the electronic systems of ministries and departments. A new version of the electronic platform “Provision of public services in the construction sector” has been developed, covering all 9 services of the industry.
Platforms such as “Examination of design and estimate documentation”, “State control in construction”, “Mening uyim”, “Mening hududim”, “Heat supply billing system” also function.
Responsible persons were given instructions to further improve and increase the transparency of the system.
The President also talked with young specialists.
– Today it is impossible to achieve serious results based on yesterday’s knowledge. To do this, it is necessary to constantly study and thoroughly master the exact sciences, especially information technology. This is of fundamental importance for the construction sector, the head of state noted.
