The President got acquainted with the project for the production of microprocessor modules in Akhangaran
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the high-tech project being implemented by the Vades Group company in the Akhangaran region.
This enterprise will establish the production of microprocessor modules designed for identification, SIM cards, as well as transport, social and international payment cards.
The Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On additional measures to bring the electrical industry to a new stage of development” dated January 22, 2025, defines the tasks of developing electrical and related industries, as well as stimulating production high-tech products with high added value.
In accordance with this work, the enterprise intends to produce the funds necessary for the implementation of digital government services, the formation of convenient and secure payment systems to meet the everyday needs of citizens.
The enterprise, worth 15 million dollars, is being created in the Eltech Industrial technology park in partnership with the German company Infineon Technologies. Now the second stage of construction has been completed by 15 percent, $7 million of investments have been spent.
In the modern complex, covering an area of 4 hectares, about 100 new jobs will be created, the volume of product exports will amount to $6 million.
It should be noted that in 2025 our country imported microprocessor modules, SIM cards and various payment cards worth $35 million.
It is expected that the enterprise, after reaching full capacity, will produce import-substituting products worth $5 million.
The products manufactured at the modern enterprise are planned to be exported to a number of countries, including Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mozambique, Cambodia.
The head of our state got acquainted with the conditions and technological processes created at the enterprise. This plant, according to forecasts, will become one of the three largest in terms of production volume in the CIS countries.
Instructions and recommendations are given on the introduction of innovative approaches in the production of products with high added value, increasing the potential of local personnel and further expanding exports.
