President Shavkat Mirziyoyev warmly congratulated his Belarusian counterpart on his birthday, sincerely wishing him good health, well-being, and success, as well as peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Belarus.
In turn, President Alexander Lukashenko warmly congratulated President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the multinational people of Uzbekistan on the upcoming Independence Day, wishing Uzbekistan continued development and prosperity.
The two leaders reviewed current issues related to further deepening the Uzbek-Belarusian strategic partnership in the context of implementing the agreements reached during the President of Uzbekistan’s official visit to Minsk on July 8-9 this year.
The Presidents expressed satisfaction with the productive contacts and exchanges between the two countries, particularly at the regional level.
Bilateral trade has increased by 28 percent since the beginning of the year. Cooperation projects are being implemented in agriculture, mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, electrical engineering, light industry, and other sectors.
The leaders also discussed the schedule of upcoming bilateral meetings and events.
