President Shavkat Mirziyoyev Presents State Awards to Marco Rubio and Sergio Gor

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev presented state awards to U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the U.S. President’s Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gor.

Marco Rubio was awarded the Order “Buyuk xizmatlari uchun”. The President of Uzbekistan highlighted his personal contribution to developing the Uzbekistan-U.S. strategic partnership, expanding political and diplomatic, trade and economic, as well as cultural and humanitarian ties, and supporting efforts to strengthen peace, stability, and sustainable development in Central Asia.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev particularly noted his support for promoting the international initiatives of New Uzbekistan and his contribution to strengthening mutual trust and friendship between the peoples of the two countries.

Sergio Gor was awarded the Order “Do‘stlik” for his contribution to strengthening friendly relations and expanding the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States.

His efforts to intensify political dialogue, implement bilateral agreements, attract U.S. investors, and promote joint projects were recognized, along with his contribution to developing cooperation within the American-Uzbek Business and Investment Council.
