At the beginning of the conversation, the President of Iran sincerely congratulated the Leader of Uzbekistan on his birthday, wishing him good health, family well-being, and continued success in his responsible public service.
The President of Uzbekistan expressed serious concern over the continuing tensions in the Middle East, stressing that exercising restraint and resuming dialogue are now more important than ever.
During the telephone conversation, the leaders agreed to further develop bilateral cooperation, particularly by expanding cooperation in the trade and economic, investment, transport, and cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Iran also exchanged views on other issues on the agenda.
