At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan on March 26–27.
The visit program includes high-level talks and the first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, to be co-chaired by the leaders of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
Key topics on the agenda will focus on further strengthening Uzbek–Tajik relations of friendship and good-neighborliness, as well as strategic partnership and alliance.
Special attention will be paid to strengthening political dialogue, expanding trade, economic, and interregional cooperation, deepening industrial collaboration, enhancing transport connectivity, ensuring water and energy security, and continuing broad cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
The heads of state will exchange views on topical aspects of the international and regional agenda, as well as on cooperation within multilateral formats.
The launch of several new joint projects and the signing of a comprehensive package of bilateral documents aimed at further developing multifaceted cooperation are also planned.
