Proposals were presented to improve the social protection system
The head of state was presented with information on measures to support low-income families, ensure employment of people with disabilities, as well as expanding the coverage and types of social services.
In our country, special attention is paid to citizens in need, and both material and moral support is provided. As part of the “From Poverty to Prosperity” program, such families are provided with assistance in the field of employment, education, health care and other areas.
At the same time, this work is an extensive and continuous process that requires constant improvement. In particular, it is proposed to provide support to low-income families, taking into account their socio-economic status, dividing them into three categories.
Today, such families are provided with more than 100 types of social services, benefits and benefits. It is planned to consolidate the procedure for inclusion in the “Register of Low-Income Families” at the legislative level. Individual plans for exiting poverty will be approved for each family and targeted services and support will be provided. Obstacles to the employment of such persons will be removed, conditions will be created for them to receive a stable income.
Children from low-income families will be exempt from paying for extended-day groups in schools, and excellent students will have the opportunity to relax in health camps for free. Students from such families who have achieved high academic results will receive a special scholarship in double the basic amount.
Measures to ensure the employment of persons with disabilities were also discussed at the presentation.
According to the proposals presented, light industry enterprises that employ people with disabilities will receive tax benefits. In addition, the social tax rate for such employees will be reduced, and entrepreneurs for their employment will be provided with subsidies in the amount of up to 500 million soums from the State Social Protection Fund.
It is also planned to increase the volume of purchases of goods and services produced by people with disabilities through electronic trading platforms. For their vocational training, inclusive educational groups will be created in technical schools.
In order to expand the coverage and types of social services for people in need of constant care, the “Step to an Active Life” program will be introduced. Within its framework, day and home care services, assistance with household chores, restoration of lost motor activity, disease prevention and other medical and social services will be provided.
The head of state approved the proposals presented and gave instructions on their systematic implementation and ensuring control over implementation.
