The head of our state in August 2022 launched the construction of the town of Al-Khorazmi in the city of Urgench. A university and a specialized school named after the great scientist will operate on its territory.
The presentation provides information on measures to create these educational institutions and their key areas.
The structure of the university will include three faculties: mathematics and computer science, aerospace technology engineering, and the faculty of artificial intelligence. It will train specialists for such areas as economics, information technology, industry, security, energy and ecology. Training will be conducted in Uzbek and English according to the credit-module system.
The educational process will be organized based on the experience of the New Uzbekistan University in collaboration with leading higher education institutions in countries such as the United Arab Emirates, the People's Republic of China and the United Kingdom.
The start of student admission is scheduled for 2025–2026 academic year. The total number of students is expected to be between 4-6 thousand people.
A branch of the school named after Muhammad al-Khorezmi in Tashkent will also open on the territory of the town. Graduates of the 4th grade will be admitted to it on a competitive basis. The final two years of study will be aimed at initial engineering training.
The head of state noted that the territory of the university should become a complex that harmoniously combines both academic activities and the historical, scientific and tourist potential of Khorezm. A corresponding document on the creation of these modern educational institutions was signed.
