The potential of the geological industry will be enhanced based on advanced competencies
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the presentation on the introduction of advanced international experience and competencies in the field of geology.
At the meeting, it was emphasized that one of the priorities is the development of the national geological system at a modern scientific and technological level, expanding the mineral resource base and ensuring deep processing of minerals.
World practice shows that even in hard-to-reach areas it is possible to identify new deposits with the help of artificial intelligence. In this direction, special importance is attached to the expansion of regional geological exploration research and the use of modern geophysical methods.
In this regard, the responsible persons presented a project to create, together with foreign partners, including one of the world's leading scientific centers in the field of mining - the Colorado School of Mines (USA), a modern Competence Center that will combine research and practical activities.
The main tasks of the center will be the introduction of digital solutions, artificial intelligence technologies and airborne geophysical research into geological exploration. Based on advanced foreign experience, it is planned to digitally analyze data, integrate the results of geochemical and cosmogeological research, as well as accelerate the process of identifying promising deposits.
The head of our state approved the proposals presented and gave a number of instructions to organize work in the geological industry aimed at expanding international cooperation, active implementation of modern technologies, identifying and developing promising areas.
