A solid package of agreements was signed aimed at further strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance with Kazakhstan
Following the results of the fruitful negotiations, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a Joint Statement.
The heads of state also adopted decisions of the Supreme Interstate Council on the creation of bilateral working groups on geology, mining of rare and rare earth metals, water availability forecasting transboundary rivers, on the establishment of the Council of Regional Heads of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
During the visit, a number of other documents were signed, including:
– Agreement on the joint management and rational use of transboundary water bodies;
– Agreement on the opening of representative offices of customs services;
– Agreement on coordination in border zones of radio frequency assignments used by terrestrial radio services for civil purposes;
– Agreement on joint military exercises;
– Framework agreement on the creation of a joint investment platform;
– Plan of joint actions for cooperation in the field of tourism for the period 2026-2027;
– Program of cooperation between the Ministries of Justice for 2025-2026;
– Memorandum on the development of cooperation in the mining industry;
– Memorandum of cooperation between the Agency for Youth Affairs of Uzbekistan and the public association “Zhastara Assembly”;
– Memorandum of understanding between the ministries of health in the field of specialized medical care;
– Memorandum of understanding between health insurance funds;
– Cooperation agreement between the khokimiyat of the city of Tashkent and the city akimat Astana;
– Agreement on cooperation between joint-stock companies Uzbekneftegaz and Kazmunaigas.
