On April 29, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev held a meeting with Ahmed Farooq, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Uzbekistan.
On April 29, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev held a meeting with Ahmed Farooq, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the sides discussed current issues of the Uzbekistan–Pakistan strategic partnership, including the further development of political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation, as well as collaboration in transport, logistics, and regional connectivity.
Particular attention was paid to cooperation on Afghanistan, strengthening regional security, and the prospects for implementing major transport and infrastructure projects, including the Trans-Afghan Railway.
The sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in further deepening practical cooperation, maintaining regular contacts, and jointly advancing initiatives aimed at promoting stability, trust, and sustainable development in the region.
