Pakistani University opens Academic Department in Uzbekistan
Assisted by the Embassy of Uzbekistan, a delegation from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) of Pakistan, led by Rector Muhammad Zahid Latif, arrived in our country.
Assisted by the Embassy of Uzbekistan, a delegation from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) of Pakistan, led by Rector Muhammad Zahid Latif, arrived in our country.
During the visit, the delegation was received by the Minister of Mining and Geology of Uzbekistan Bobur Islamov. Parties discussed cooperation in the fields of geology and the mining industry, as well as the development of joint educational and scientific projects.
Particular attention was paid to the interaction between the National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) of Pakistan and the University of Geological Sciences of Uzbekistan, including the exchange of faculty and researchers, joint research and the development of educational programs.
A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the universities of the two countries. Furthermore, the official opening of a department of the Pakistani university at the Uzbek higher education institution took place.
Parties also agreed to continue working on combining the educational, scientific, and practical potential of both countries and training specialists for the geological and mining industries.
Pakistani delegation also visited the Tashkent University of Information Technologies and the Tashkent University of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
