Pakistani Company to invest in construction of deep salt processing plant in Kungrad District of Karakalpakstan
During a working visit to Pakistan, the delegation of Uzbekistan, led by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan Farkhod Ermanov, visited the “Nimir Industrial Chemicals Ltd” company in the city of Lahore.

During the meeting, the company's management was provided with detailed information on the trade, economic and investment potential of Karakalpakstan, favourable conditions created for foreign investors, as well as promising investment projects proposed for implementation in the region.
Parties discussed the establishment of a modern chemical plant in the Kungrad district, specializing in deep salt processing. It was noted that the region possesses sufficient raw material reserves for the project's realization and a land plot equipped with the necessary engineering and communications infrastructure can be allocated.
Representatives of “Nimir Industrial Chemicals Ltd” expressed high interest in implementing the investment initiative, noting that the presence of engineering and communications infrastructure, as well as the transport and logistics capabilities of the Kungrad district, including the airport and railway network, is of great importance for the project's realization.
Following the outcomes of the meeting, an investment agreement was signed between Karakalpakstan and “Nimir Industrial Chemicals Ltd”, aimed at developing cooperation and implementing the joint investment project.
Furthermore, the company's management announced their intention to visit the republic on a working visit at the end of July this year to review the proposed project on-site.
