On May 26, 2026, at a meeting of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mirvohid Mirilyasovich Azimov, appointed in accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 26, 2026, was introduced as the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Prior to his appointment, Azimov held the position of Deputy Secretary-General of the Organisation of Turkic States.
