On July 1, 2026, in Muscat, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloyev met with Salim bin Musallim Qatan, Deputy Chairman of the State Council (Upper House of Parliament) of the Sultanate of Oman.
During the talks, the parties discussed the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, as well as the expansion of political, trade and economic, investment, and cultural and humanitarian ties.
The sides also exchanged views in detail on supporting the activities of the inter-parliamentary friendship groups, sharing legislative experience, strengthening people's diplomacy, and other issues of mutual interest.
