On October 2, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
During the talks, the sides noted that Denmark is one of Uzbekistan’s promising partners in Europe.
A wide range of promising areas for cooperation were discussed, including strengthening political dialogue, developing the green economy, and expanding scientific exchanges.
Particular attention was paid to further developing economic ties through investment and industrial cooperation. Interest was expressed in advancing joint projects with Danish companies across various sectors.
Following the talks, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Political Consultations.
The document provides an institutional framework for regular political dialogue between the foreign ministries of the two countries, the exchange of views on current issues, and discussions on priority areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.
It was noted that the visit will help enrich Uzbekistan–Denmark cooperation with new initiatives and concrete practical outcomes.
