The leaders of Uzbekistan and the United States welcomed the taking of the bilateral strategic partnership to a new level
On November 6, as part of a working visit to Washington, a meeting was held at the White House between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the United States of America Donald Trump.
The President of our country left an entry in the Book of Honored Guests of the White House.
Then in the Oval Office, the leaders held negotiations, during which they considered issues of further building up Uzbek-American strategic partnership relations, strengthening political dialogue, expanding trade, economic, investment and cultural-humanitarian cooperation.
Particular attention was paid to the practical implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level in New York City in September this year.
An exchange of views took place on current issues of the global and regional agenda, including deepening interaction between Central Asia and the United States in the C5+1 format.
The head of Uzbekistan sincerely congratulated Donald Trump on his high achievements in implementing domestic and foreign policies. His personal contribution and efforts to peacefully resolve acute international and regional conflicts were especially noted.
Donald Trump welcomed the fruitful results of the meetings and negotiations of the leader of Uzbekistan with representatives of the US government, heads of the largest American companies and financial institutions that took place the day before.
The leaders emphasized the importance of creating and improving institutional mechanisms for promoting joint projects.
At the end of the negotiations, the head of our state invited the President of the United States to make an official visit to Uzbekistan at a convenient time.
