The leaders of Uzbekistan and Qatar had a telephone conversation
On September 12, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
Current issues of Uzbek-Qatari relations of strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation were discussed.
At the beginning of the conversation, the head of our state strongly condemned the recently launched missile attacks by the Israeli side on the capital of Qatar, the city of Doha. It was noted that such unacceptable actions, violating the independence and sovereignty, as well as posing a threat to the security of Qatar, contradict the Charter of the United Nations, the fundamental norms and principles of international law.
It is emphasized that Uzbekistan opposes any form of use of force in international relations and steps leading to further escalation of the situation in the Middle East.
The President of Uzbekistan wished the success of the emergency Arab-Islamic summit convened at the initiative of Qatar.
In turn, the Emir of the State of Qatar expressed deep gratitude for the solidarity and support shown.
During the telephone conversation, issues of continuing active political contacts and taking coordinated measures to accelerating the implementation of cooperation projects between leading companies of the two countries.
