The leaders of Uzbekistan and Qatar discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda
On July 7, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The issues of further strengthening the Uzbek-Qatari strategic partnership relations and expanding multifaceted practical cooperation were discussed in detail.
At the beginning of the conversation, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan highly appreciated the active efforts of the Emir of Qatar to ensure peace and stability in the Middle East.
The fruitful nature was noted with particular satisfaction intensive bilateral contacts and exchanges observed recently.
Indicators of mutual trade turnover and investment are growing dynamically, technical preparation and implementation of large projects of industrial cooperation and infrastructure modernization are actively underway.
In this context, it is emphasized that important attention is paid to the effectiveness of upcoming high-level events, including the first meeting of the Coordination Council under the chairmanship Ministers of Foreign Affairs, meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission, the Business Council and the business forum.
The leaders of Uzbekistan and Qatar also reviewed the schedule of high-level events.
