The leaders of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan considered the implementation of agreements at the highest level
During a telephone conversation on December 24, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev warmly congratulated the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the day birth.
The head of our state especially noted the historical role of the leader of Azerbaijan in strengthening independence, unifying the country, ensuring its sustainable development and increasing international authority.
Current issues of further expansion and strengthening of Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations of friendship and alliance were considered in the context of the implementation of agreements at the highest level.
The fruitful results of joint work in the current Year of Economic Cooperation were noted with satisfaction.
Fruitful contacts and exchanges continue at all levels. The volume of mutual trade turnover is growing dynamically, projects in 20 priority areas based on the “road map” are in the active phase.
A rich program of cultural and humanitarian exchange is being implemented.
The heads of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan also exchanged views on the international agenda and reviewed the schedule of upcoming events.
