The leaders summed up the fruitful negotiations
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Azerbaijan Republic Republic Ilham Aliyev made statements to the media following the results of the negotiations.
The President of our country highly appreciated the fruitful results of the meeting, which clearly demonstrated the strong political will to deepen the strategic partnership in the name of the interests of the peoples of the three states.
It was noted that during the negotiations, special attention was paid to the development of transit corridors, including the effective use of the capabilities of the ports of Turkmenbashi and Baku, the joint formation of modern logistics infrastructure.
Plans to connect existing and promising routes in the region in order to deepen the integration of national transport systems were discussed in detail. It was emphasized that Uzbekistan stands for a coordinated policy in this area.
First of all, this concerns issues of tariff policy and the creation of favorable conditions for business when entering international markets.
Agreements have been reached on joint work on projects for the development of logistics infrastructure and ferry transportation across the Caspian Sea.
In addition, the possibilities of cooperation between the three countries in the energy sector were considered - in the development of hydrocarbon deposits and the export of generated electricity.
Tasks to increase trade turnover and expand the scale of industrial cooperation took center stage.
It was emphasized that measures will be taken to stimulate mutual supplies of quality products from national manufacturers and conditions will be created for the implementation of new investment projects involving the potential of the regions of the three countries.
The leaders agreed to expand cooperation in the field of rational use of water resources and countering environmental threats. In addition, a joint program in the field of tourism and cultural exchanges will be adopted.
Work on the implementation of the adopted decisions and documents will be carried out by ministers on the basis of the “road map”.
In conclusion, the head of our state emphasized that the current historic meeting will serve to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation between the three countries, will contribute to the creation of sustainable trade, transport and energy corridors, as well as accelerating the processes of regional integration.
