Leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan reaffirm commitment to deepening strategic partnership

At the beginning of the conversation, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev warmly congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his birthday, extending his sincere wishes for robust health, family happiness and well-being, as well as peace and prosperity to the brotherly people of Turkmenistan.
In turn, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahatyconveyed the greetings of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the leader of Uzbekistan.
The parties highly valued the current level of strategic partnership. Close and fruitful contacts are maintained at all levels. Trade volumes continue to grow steadily, and cooperation projects are being implemented in industry, energy, transport, and other priority sectors. The Shavat–Dashoguz trade zone continues to operate effectively.
Interregional, business, and cultural-humanitarian exchanges continue to expand.
The leaders highly praised the outcomes of the recent meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Business Council held in Ashgabat.
Particular attention was paid to coordinating and advancing the regional agenda in preparation for the Eighth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, to be held in Turkmenistan this October.
