On June 4, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.
At the outset of the conversation, the Head of State warmly congratulated the President and the fraternal people of the Kyrgyz Republic on the country’s election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2027-2028 term.
The President of Uzbekistan emphasized that this achievement is a clear testament to the international community’s high recognition of Kyrgyzstan’s active foreign policy and its significant contribution to regional stability and security.
The two sides reaffirmed their readiness to continue close coordination and mutual support on international platforms.
During the conversation, the Presidents noted with deep satisfaction the current high level of Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations of friendship, good-neighborliness, and strategic partnership.
Particular attention was paid to the practical implementation of agreements reached during high-level meetings, primarily in the areas of economy, transport, and energy, as well as cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
The leaders also reviewed the schedule of upcoming high-level events.
