Leaders of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan hold telephone conversation

On March 16, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The Head of State sincerely congratulated the President of Kazakhstan on the successful conduct of the referendum on the draft of the new Constitution.
The leaders noted that the adopted amendments will serve as a reliable legal foundation and provide additional impetus for Kazakhstan’s sustainable development and the strengthening of its international standing.
Current issues related to further strengthening the Uzbek-Kazakh strategic partnership and alliance were also discussed in the context of implementing agreements reached at the highest level.
Particular attention was given to promoting joint projects and programs in trade and economic cooperation, investment, transport, cultural and humanitarian fields, and other priority areas.
The Presidents exchanged views on current international and regional issues and discussed the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events.
The leaders of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan also exchanged sincere congratulations on the upcoming holidays of Ramadan Hayit and Navruz, wishing the fraternal peoples of the two countries peace, well-being, and continued prosperity.
