The leaders exchanged warm congratulations on the upcoming holidays of Ramadan Hayit and Navruz, sincerely wishing the brotherly peoples of both countries peace, well-being, and prosperity.
During the conversation, special attention was paid to issues related to expanding the strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan in the context of implementing the agreements reached at the second meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council.
Satisfaction was expressed with the steady growth in trade turnover and the advancement of cooperation projects in trade and economic, investment, transport, cultural and humanitarian, and other priority areas.
The parties also discussed the current situation in the Middle East, noting that its further escalation could lead to unpredictable consequences for the broader region and a global economic recession. The need for a prompt de-escalation exclusively through political and diplomatic means was emphasized.
The schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events was also reviewed.
